Dim-sum clubbing/mexican lemonades/wet in west wales
Celtic explorations this weekend, after a wierd friday night out eating dim-sum to hardcore house in old street in aid of the ageing of Beth.
Red and green on the top of brick lane and their amazing homemade lemonades. Receives the cheryl flag of approval despite being mexican. Good call Jules/Sunny
London Paddington - Swansea - Haverfordwest (6hours+)
Kev/neil/diane pic me up and we drive to the Preseil lodge in the middle of nowhere [unpronounciable name]. Nice!
Coasteering eat drive climb run jump.
Scrambbling around rocks, jumping into bays (!), and being talked into eating a live Limpet on the way. Abercastle in the northern Pembrokeshire coast, further east to St Davids and its cathedral, even further east on a lifeboat to Ramsay Island to say hello to the seals and wierd birds.
Village-hopping and randomly turning up at and crashing at Tom’s pad in Bradford upon avon, Bath.
Gorgeous fry-up at the lock-inn Dick and Jane, running hills at the white horse, cream tea and scones…
Pics to follow, because film takes time to develop!
Thus begins the addiction to the outdoors.

Introducing the fuji finepix F100fd, the Sigma DP1, and the Ricoh Caplio GX100
All three wide angle point and shoots with aperture and shutter speed priority modes, and the sigma with the largest sensor on the planet, basically a DSLR in a pocket format.
I’m pretty sure god made that camera. and i want it.
check out the comparison here.
oops. cheeky!
The cheekiest expression ever!
The same old DSLR vs. 35mm SLR debate…
Instead of blowing my money on a droolworthy Olympus E-420 with 25mm pancake lens (thus kitting up to the world’s smallest DSLR), i shall concentrate on the lovely film cameras I have and invest in slide film, and possibly a good wide angle lens. Clicketty click, Here I come! Shame this part of Kent is such a shithole.
Worthy lens article here, since you don’t come across good lens articles very often. Also see pbase for great examples of camera shots, film and digital, classified according to camera, lens, and even film used. Bloody awesome!
My new lil’ baby bike
This lil baby I bought from the bike shop in Gillingham. An impulse buy, from failing my driving test for the third time, despite the fact that I drive like a dream. Trust me on this one. But don’t expect me to give way, hur hur hur!
This lil baby has made me feel less trapped, and I’ve already pimped it a lil with racks and mudguards, and sometimes feel like i need a bike stand although it may just kill the lovely streamlined look. This is an offroad bike! bike stands don’t look cool on off-road bikes.
I love being on it. it takes me a total of 45 seconds to speed to Gillingham High street from my Hospital, when it used to take a 15 minute walk. Woo hoo! Coming uphill however is a bitch but my quads are now getting used to it.
Now I’ve joined Zoe in 2-wheeled freedom and one day we shall explore! Oh these lovely late sunsets.

To do: add bike to home insurance/bike mainainence (will probably worry about that when it starts to wear down a bit. God know’s what i need to do for a bike’s well-being. Feed it? Water it? )
one arm pull-ups!
holy moly macaroni.
Been nerding on the net reading about climbing training and came across this!
Inspiration yes. Personal goal: hanging off doorframes for more than 1 second!

Scientific American: Money Can Buy Happiness clue: spend it on other people. I agree! Hehe…
Paparazzi, climbing and jazz under a train station.
Friday - the weekend creeps up before i can make any plans! Busy busy busy. Much going on in the mind. Hit the sack to recharge for an hour and back out to London for Dayal’s birthday at the Mayfair bar, which was lined with paparazzi. Not sure who the glittery celeb was, not that it mattered. Cocktails were alright, my lychee martini was a tad effeminate, wanted my vodka martini a la james bond but no man would believe it. Wake up on Saturday for a nice traipse around borough market with Tom and Rishi. Monmouth coffee and a good conversation…. followed by a fairly academic trip to Dover Street Market, to study patterns and textiles with Supei… but i just drool at the clothes and try on the shoes intead. No danger of overspending in a place where a throw costs £1000+. Wearable art. I’d rather feed hungry puppies. Yu-yu finishes work at 9pm and we head out with Faid and Milo, and realise saturday nights in London are a bitch and head straight back to Yu-yu’s for a marathon of guitar hero and suitably inspired guitar playin!!! omg, GUITAR HERO!!!!! I’m there! Dragonforce on GH should be fun!!! Sunday - climbing at manor house castle with Ajay. 4 hours of bouldering and “muscle recruiting”. Hup 2-3-4! yo yo muscle fibres, sign up here! Knackered, back to Ajay’s to cook a feast, gobble it in record time, rip and roll, run out to see Portico Quartet do their Classical/Jass/Experimental thing at Corsica Studios for Arctic Circle! Inspiring. Must must must create. Consume, process, create. Head back on the last train, bump into Neil and watch him chat up a hot russian man… and see sparks fly right before mine eyes. Flirting is an art i realise! And rush back to the hospital in a taxi, where i pretend to be a preggie and Neil says chopchop taximan, she’s gonna give birth. I huff and puff. Monday. bleah! 12 days of straight work ahead. but the weekend gives the energy. And clem says everyday should be an enjoy-day. and i smile the hours away and do my thing taking blood, doing venflons, paperwork, chasing results and random houseplant jobs.
