Enjoy yourselves. The vocation you have chosen is not a job but a way of life. It’s a great life and I don’t regret a minute of those long hours. You will never be bored. The patients are all somebody’s loved ones and you can make a big difference to many aspects of their darkest hours by the way you deal with them and their families.
